THE PURPOSEFUL ARTIST RETREAT in greece

CONSCIOUS CREATIVE LIVING PRESENTS

THE PURPOSEFUL ARTIST

An immersive creative retreat
to strengthen and expand our roles as artists.

The Purposeful Artist offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary experience through its curation of guests and creative practices—writing, movement, photography, painting, and storytelling—for an in depth exploration of the creative process. This is not only about creating; it’s about connecting with other artists in a land alive with curiosity and potential.

While many retreats are held amidst peak seasons in bustling locations, we’ve intentionally chosen Greece during the off-season—a time when the landscape quiets and the deeper magic of the place reveals itself. With fewer distractions and a slower pace, this retreat creates a space for true artistic immersion, where you can listen to your own creative rhythm and explore freely.

We harmonize daily offerings with free time to support your intuition and authentic creative flow.

ABOUT THE HOSTS

NORA BRUHN, ARTIST + FACILITATOR

Nora’s purpose is to serve as a bridge—a reminder that we live in an interconnected world. We are nature, and we are never truly alone. With one foot in San Francisco and the other in the forests, deserts, and waterways of California, she draws wisdom from the natural world to fuel her art. Nora’s creative practice revolves around painting large-scale community murals, often featuring flowers bathed in dramatic lighting. She emphasizes the texture, transparency, and contours of each petal, carefully blending each hue she discovers in nature’s palette. Her compositions highlight the most captivating qualities of the flowers, offering viewers an immersive experience.

Her heart finds its home at the crossroads of community, art, and nature. As the owner and operator of The Nest, a community art space in San Francisco, she facilitates experiences such as the Smell Tour, Moon Circles, painting workshops, and other cultural events. Nora is deeply passionate about the unique and beautiful gift of life, and she strives to remind others of the rare privilege it is to be alive in this moment.

LISA VORTMAN, CREATOR + COACH

Lisa is a vivacious leader who advocates for giving time; to our Self, to others and to the Art of living. Lisa has worked over a decade as a professional Photographer alongside passionate individuals and brands to help amplify honest expression for better connection with customers. A lot of that work is rooted in the quest to clarify “What are you providing, what needs to be expressed in the moment” with the understanding that is is always shifting and changing. One of Lisa’s greatest assets is her ability to shift perspectives and see true beauty and potential in just about everyone and everything.

In 2014 Lisa discovered yoga as a vital practice for living creatively. As her own understanding of consciousness and wellbeing evolved, so did her vision for shared experiences. She began leading local and international creative and yoga retreats in 2014 and has built an incredible expertise in providing space for exploration so that others can give time to strengthening self-trust and connection to their own true nature, ultimately allowing them a shift in how to move forward better aligned and connected.

Lisa infuses the insights found from her own experiences while holding space and guidance of other’s curiosities and unique path. She is a 500 hr certified Yoga Teacher, the Director of a highly-reputable photographers nationwide organization and was co-founder of Paint the Void in 2020, which won the SXSW Award for Community Service. Founder of Conscious Creative Living, she is lit up by the clarity in direction this work is moving in. There is much ahead, and collaboration — working with other incredible thinkers and feelers — is the best part of it all !
