DEEP FEELING FOR CLARITY
INSIGHTS FROM A BREATHWORK JOURNEY
Perhaps clarity comes not in the search for it, but in sitting back to notice…
Have you ever experienced a breathwork journey? Lying back with my eyes closed, I turned inward and began breathing in a steady, conscious-connected rhythm. The breath carried me into deeper layers of myself. Some moments felt uncomfortable, others expansive. Each time I stayed in observation—without rushing past the discomfort—I found clarity, trust, and a quiet sense of peace on the other side.
In 2025, I dove deeper into the study of somatic breathwork. I thought I was simply gaining skills for guiding meditation. What I was actually learning was complete integration—not just as a technique, but as a lived experience that revealed how the healing arc of deep feeling truly works.
I realized our nervous systems aren’t fragile. They are intelligent, adaptive, and wise. I relived memories and rewired responses—something we rarely have the space to fully process in daily life. As an observer of my own experience, like scenes in a movie, two things unexpectedly revealed themselves: my belief in the somatic therapy as a compliment to talk therpay, and my readiness to become a mother.
Readiness isn’t certainty or fearlessness. It’s regulation—the quiet confidence that you can be with what arises and return to steadiness again and again. It builds capacity, resilience, and self-trust. This kind of integration requires flexibility—an ongoing willingness to regulate and update our inner world. Life will continue to present cyclical experiences as opportunities to respond differently and grow.
This journey showed me how much I had evolved. I am no longer who I once was. My needs, desires, beliefs, and values have shifted—and with them, my capacity. Outdated fears and resistance had been blocking my evolution. When I finally met the parts of myself that had been tucked away, a new trust emerged.
Through the breathwork journey, a knowing arrived—not as a thought, but as bodily truth:
I can meet intensity and return to steadiness.
I can hold stress and still come home to peace.
I can experience the full spectrum of being human and find clarity.
Three weeks later, I became pregnant.
We often hear about pausing for reflection—the narrative approach to integration that helps us make sense of our stories. While valuable, mind-only practices are limited. Clarity shifts with belief and nervous system state.
Physical integration brings us into contact with suppressed emotions, stored defenses, and creative energy waiting to be expressed. It asks us to move all the way through. It takes courage—and the power we discover within ourselves carries responsibility.
Integration reaches embodiment when we move beyond the mind.
My own life force energy—my breath—taught me this.
